Frequently Asked Questions

ARRIVING

Do I need to wear a mask all the time?

No, you will be able to take off the mask once you are seated. You will be temperature checked at the door upon arrival. And, we ask that you wear one and ensure social distancing when entering and exiting the building, going to the bathroom, etc. There will be tape and arrows on the floors to ensure social distancing. We also ask that everyone refrain from hugs and handshakes at this time, so as to limit contact for everyone.

Are there assigned seats?

Nope! When you walk into the arena, a Host Team member will escort you to a seat of your choosing. This is to ensure that there is enough distance between your party and other people in the church community. Again, once you are seated you may remove your mask.

CHECK IN

Where will kids check in be located?

We have moved Check In to upstairs to ensure there is no congestion in the lobby. We have marked with tape the flow of the stairs where the right side is for going upward and the left side is for going back downstairs. You and your child will be temperature checked upon arrival downstairs before you can be allowed up to Check In. Please make sure to take your child to the restroom before you drop them off and we ask that only one parent drop off/pick up the child from City Kids. All City Kids workers will be wearing face shields during the entire Experience. All snacks and drinks are also individually wrapped.

NURSERY

Where is the nursery?

Nursery has been moved to the Red Ballroom for the time being to give the children more space. Everything will be cleaned and sanitized before and after every Sunday experience. Due to social distancing, we will not be allowing children under the age of 1 to be in nursery. The current ages for nursery are therefore ages 1-3 years old.

CITY KIDS

Where is City Kids?

City Kids has been moved to the Green Ballroom to give them more space to practice social distancing. Everything will be cleaned and sanitized before and after every Sunday. Due to the amount of children in our City Kids program, we are going to only allow children between the ages of 4-9 years old in City Kids. Children ages 1-3 would be in nursery. We ask that all children 10 and up join their parents for the adult Worship Experience.

CITY YOUTH

When is City Youth starting again?

We're currently working on a plan for City Youth to regather. Once we finalize details, we'll inform you as soon as possible.

DISMISSAL

What will dismissal look like?

For parents, we ask that you practice social distancing when getting your child from City Kids and use the proper stairwell for entrance and exit. When picking up your child, we ask that the same parent who dropped off the child be the parent that is picking up the child. We also know that people want to congregate and chat after the Worship Experience, but we ask that you do this outside The Washington Armory.

OFFERING

What does offering look like?

We will not be passing offering buckedts during the Experience. We want to encourage everyone to use out online giving platform (https://www.citychurchalbany.com/giving) for a completely contactless way of giving. If you will be giving cash or check, there will be a bucket available at the Host Table.

COMMUNION

What will communion look like?

When we do communion, we will have the elements on your chairs before the Experience. They will be placed by a team member who is wearing gloves and a mask.

PRAYER

Is there still going to be a prayer team?

Yes! Prayer will be available following the Worship Experience on either side of the stage. Our prayer team will be wearing face shields and hand sanitizer will be available as well. Please practice social distancing while waiting for prayer.

We are so excited to be meeting in person, and let's not forget to have fun! This is going to be an amazing time worshipping Jesus, enjoying each other's company, and seeing God move in our midst. We can't wait!
