MICHAEL MOORE LEAD PASTOR

Pastor Mike and his wife, Kristi, are two of the original founders of City Church, which began back in 2011 in the upstairs room of a bar in downtown Albany. Their vision was to create a space where all people could come and experience Jesus in a life-transforming way, a vision that remains true today. Their driving passion to see the local church unified to expand the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pastors Mike and Kristi currently live just outside of Albany with their son Judah, and their daughter Allison.

OUR CREED

We are a gospel-centered community united in loving God and one another. Together we are committed to establishing a culture of honor and excellence that Jesus may be known. We encounter God in our daily lives through prayer, worship, scripture, and other means prescribed by God. We believe we should be passionate about Jesus and connecting others to Jesus.

City Church was born in 2011 under the name “White Couch Albany” when a small group of people began gathering to worship in the upper room of Jillian's bar downtown. We’ve moved sixteen times since then, and we are so grateful that the Lord has always been faithful to provide a place for us to meet.

In 2020, Pastor Mike began a relationship with Bishop Joseph Mattera - the founding Pastor of Resurrection Church, which has two locations in Brooklyn and Staten Island - and decided to unify all three campuses under one mission and vision.

We are thrilled to now be in our forever home at 445 North Pearl Street, which had its grand opening in the fall of 2022. The new chapter that awaits us in this space is going to be a great one - and we would love for you to be a part of it!
