Day 4 Prayer and Fasting: Gospel centered community to grow

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the day approaching.” Hebrew 10:24-25

It is a gift to live in a community of believers that are completely sold out and running for the gospel. Something happens when we live in close proximity with one another that shapes and molds us closer to the image of Jesus. We can’t help but run a little faster when we intentionally meet week to week. You can’t move from the book of Acts without seeing that the early church met continually not seasonally and because of that people were being added to their number daily. As the early church was living in community you see them released from the desires of the world as they were selling their possessions to give to one another and others. The explosion of the church happened around the table praying and eating bread. People were being sent out and set free by finding their strength in the Lord shoulder to shoulder.

We are called to build our very lives including schedules around the gospel; Part of that is making every effort to meet together, because the day is approaching. Your story needs to be heard, people need to hear your prayers, we need your gifts.

Let’s pray that everyone would have a deep desire to live in a Gospel Centered Community - House Church.

Respond:

  • Are you building your schedule around the gospel?

  • Are you continually meeting with other believers during the week?

  • Who are you encouraging?

We want and need you in House Church.
