WHY TROY?
When we look at the landscape of Troy, New York, we don’t just see a city of historic brick and beautiful grit; we see a place with revival encoded into its very foundations. Exactly two hundred years ago, in 1826, a massive spiritual awakening swept through these exact same streets under the ministry of Charles Finney. It was a moment in history where the presence of God broke out so powerfully that it reshaped the entire social and spiritual fabric of the Capital Region.
At City Church, we believe that the moves of God from generations past are precedents for our future, not just stories for textbooks. We are going to build on what was laid down two centuries ago, honoring the believers who prayed for this city before we were even born.
Our prayer is simple: What God did then, we ask Him to do again. A fresh awakening for a generation to experience Jesus in a life-transforming way.

For nearly 15 years, City Church has been faithfully serving the Capital Region through community outreach, support for local nonprofits, holiday initiatives, back-to-school events, and practical care for families. Through these efforts, we have seen lives changed, families strengthened, and communities impacted in meaningful ways.

With thriving locations in Albany and Ravena, City Church is now preparing to launch a third location in Downtown Troy in Spring 2027, with interest meetings beginning in Fall 2026.

To help make this vision a reality, City Church is hosting a Golf Tournament on September 25, 2026. By bringing together local business owners, leaders, churches and neighbors, this event creates a space to spark meaningful relationships and build a strong network of support ahead of our Troy launch. Together, we want to establish a shared commitment to the city's future.
